Interesting...

Something happened today that I thought might be worth posting and sharing...

So before work, I went into Crazy Clarks to get some cheap Christmas ribbons, hair decorations, elf hats, reindeer ears etc because I thought it would be nice to get into the Christmas spirit at work. Just as I was looking at a pair of Roudolf ears this Crazy Clarks lady approached me and said: "excuse me, I was just wondering, what time do you guys open and close?" How ironic... I was in a shop that she works in and she was asking ME for the trading hours of my workplace. Fair enough, I was in my uniform already but after that, I felt like she kept following me/ keeping an eye on me.

Just as I was about to line up to pay, she pulls me aside and asks when we were gonna serve butter chicken again in our customer resturant (wtf?)... unfortunately I did not know cause I don't work in the kitchen. THEN, she started asking whether my workplace was a good environment and how much I get paid etc, which I thought was really personal... but I told her anyway cause I'm nice and shiz. Of course then she asked whether we were hiring and how she can apply for a job there... blah blah blah

Afterwards, I realised that SO many people ask me to help them find a job at my workplace, every time I go to Woolworths (my old job) the checkout girls would ask me if we had spots available and even when I serve customers they would ask!

This makes me appreciate my work so much more and how I love being part of such a great company :) I do feel sorry for all those people who are consistenly complaining about their jobs, if you don't love it then you'll never be happy working there. I'm happy where I am and my job rocks!! (most of the time)

Ps- My boyfriend is awesome for sitting through the end of 'The Notebook' with me, even though he had just spent a whole day at a festival in the horrible, cold and rainy weather.
